Our Invisible Enemy?
How is it that an invisible micro entity has managed to upset the world systems, paralyze structures and dictate to all of us what we cannot do and must do if we were to stay alive?
I can't help but picture this invisible enemy laugh at us and being amused at how we struggle to survive as an individual, family, corporate, a nation, and a global society...
How Do We Fight It?
We (most of us) got it: Stay at Home, Social Distancing, Wash Your Hands etc.
But, it seems as if covid-19 managed to create other problems that society has to deal with like fear, anxiety, panics, feelings of loneliness, helplessness, and of course grief over the loss of loved ones.
And these are in addition to the economic and financial losses that most of the countries have to face.
Infamous covid-19 may have longer term consequences...
Have you invested in stocks? Maybe it's not the right time to check your potential losses as it may create more worries...
How Do We Help Our-self and Help Others?
Stay united - it is not so helpful to criticize the measures our governments are taking to combat the pandemic, such as too little, too late, too much...
Help each other - in practical ways
Care for one another - people want to feel cared for and loved
Make the most of our teleworking to spend quality time with our family
Self-care - let's not be so absorbed by the needs of others and forget ours in the process. Flight attendants always say, 'put your oxygen mask on before you help someone else,' I suppose for a good reason.
Spend time in meditation / prayer to strengthen your spirit and manage your emotions.
Say No to FEAR and PANIC!
FEAR in the end is False Evidence Appearing Real: most of the things we fear never happen!
On the other hand, when we obsess and talk about what we fear too much, we attract them in our life!
PANIC is even a bigger issue and may result in irrational behavior.
What we FOCUS on we make ROOM for
If we continuously feed ourselves covid-19 news all day, fear and panic will have their way into our life...
Let's make the best of the situation
We get to spend more time with our loved ones and build more intimate connection.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Covid-19 will have to stop at some point, hopefully very soon.
Internet and social media keep us connected to the outside world.
Most of us can still do our work from our own home, maybe even in our pyjamas :)
We can PROSPER where we are PLANTED! Stay Strong. Have Faith. Build Hope.
